58 on a final. Transcript ruined?

I am a rising junior, and I got a 58 on my sophomore computers final. It was actually a project for the final and I didn't know my teacher would grade so hard. Anyways, I got a 100 in the regular class, and since finals count for 10% of my final grade, I ended up with a 96.

I did not care too much about the final project because it was computers, and I had more important subjects to worry about. In the end, it paid off because I scored very well (96+) on all my other final exams for important classes.

Will this 58 for my computers final have a big effect on my transcript, or is it nothing to worry about?

They won’t care as long as you got an A in the class

Unless your school’s transcript includes the final exam on it, no one’s going to know you got a 58 if you ended up with a 96 in the class.

Unfortunately, for my school I think it does.

Wouldn’t the A-average indicate that you understood the material?
