6/11 UCI finally replies to appeal and says i'm on their waiting list

<p>Hurray!! At least I didn't get rejected. Today UCI FIANLLLLLLY replies and say's i've been placed on their waiting list. Good enough for me :)</p>

<h2>here's the letter if anyone is interested</h2>

<p>We have received your admissions selection appeal. At this time, the UC Irvine
campus is unable to accommodate additional new freshmen enrollments. However,
we are keeping your file open, and should new space become available for the
fall 2009 freshmen class, we will contact you.</p>

<p>For now, we encourage you to keep your other enrollment options open, and be
sure to observe all deadlines associated with them.</p>

<p>i got the same email. lmao they sent me a letter of rejection 3 days after i mailed my appeals letter. so out of coincidence i thought THAT was the letter so i gave up. but all of a sudden i just got the email today! I’m so happy i might have a chance. really want to go to UCI</p>

<p>i got the same exact message about being on the waitinglist and on 2 days ago (july 2nd), i got an email saying that my irvine status changed so i checked it while being confused and i officially got in :] i have til 7/9 to make up my mind, and housing is limited- first come first serve. but yeah hope this helps. my other friend got in too that appealed and got the waitlist email.</p>

<p>honestly, my GPA and SAT score was not great at all. lol . i was really lucky. my GPA was a 3.5-3.6</p>

<p>Wow, best of luck to you guys in getting to UCI from the waiting list but hey, atleast you did better than those others who were rejected from the start.</p>

<p>Just curious can you guys tell me your GPAs and SAT/ACT scores that got you on the waiting list? I really want to go to UCI but I don’t wanna waste my time worrying about it if im below the standard. Thanks!</p>

<p>My SAT score (I only took it once) - 2210
ACT - 31
GPA - 3.49 (Unweighted)</p>

<p>I was rejected but I appealed and got in ><</p>

<p>Hmm, I plan on raising my SAT/ACT score cause it sucks. Another question though, my unweighted GPA is at like 3.5 or something but my weighted is 3.9 will that be OK considering I have a lot of ECs and 2000 ish SAT scores?</p>

<p>hey guys, me too! i got the the same email and deadline to accept too but they changed my major from business to undecided/undeclared :(. After the rejection letter 3 days after i gave up my hopes of going and settled on csuf just a few minutes away from uci… i got accepted after orientation and picking out a house and roommates (not cool) but im happy to be going to irvine now. zot zot zot</p>
