6 AP Classes Junior Year?

Hi,
So this year I am going to take 6 AP Classes as a Junior, I know it will be difficult and I know that it will take a lot of time, but I am starting to wonder if it is worth it. My Counselor and My Parents have both asked me if I am sure, and they think it is OK for me to try to push myself but they think I may be pushing too hard. I have a perfect record so far in high school, All As and It wasn't even difficult to me, so I decided to take more APs. However, from what people have told me I don't know if I may have bitten off more than I can chew. What do you guys think of it, and also do you know anyone who has done more or the same amount? I know a few people who are taking 7 APs but it is their Senior Year, whereas mine is my Junior Year and is more important.
The APs I am taking are:
AP Calculus BC
AP Chemistry
AP US History
AP Economics
AP Language and Composition
AP Psychology

What do you guys think, and any advice?

Not the right forum. But…

Calc and chem are hard. While Lang depends on if you are english oriented. The rest are easy especially psych

none of them are too difficult on their own
but apush for me was easily 2 hours of reading a night
and i have friends who took ap chem and said it was also 2 hours a night roughly

ap psychology, economics, and lang arent as work heavy, but if you dont keep up with them your grades will fall

as far as calc bc goes, thats purely dependent on your math skill. i know kids that got c’s with tons of extra help and studying, and kids who would fall asleep and gets 110’s on every test.

you know your limits, but thats a hell of course load

Depends on your school. Some of the easiest APs at my school would be the hardest at yours. I took 4 my junior year and had no problem, though six is obviously a little more challenging. I’m not worried about my five next year though. You may not have a 4.0 but better to get an A- in an AP class and show you’re challenging yourself

I’d drop one of the social studies ones (my recommendation is APUSH - it’s a lot more time consuming than Psych or Econ, and those two are common requirements at many colleges for many majors so more likely to pay off in terms of college credit).

5 AP classes is plenty (and probably still pushing yourself too hard if you’ve never taken an AP before) - no need to stress yourself out with a 6th. It’s better to take 4 or 5 with A’s/B’s than to stretch yourself too thin with 6 and get B’s/C’s.

If you’re going to drop anything, I recommend that you drop pysch.
I know it’s an easier AP, so you can self study it and save yourself the trouble on homework and tests.
Colleges will like it if you get a 5 on AP Chem or AP Lang, but no ones going to be overly impressed with the fact that you took a psychology course.
