I have 3 AP's thus year and four honors with no lunch period but next year I have 6 and I'm worried that I will. It enjoy my senior year but the college I want to go wants a rigorous senior year

AP Gov
AP English Lit
AP Statistics
Lunch
AP Calc BC
AP Bio
Lab/study hall
AP Chem

At my school gov and stats are among the easiest AP's while bio and English are moderately hard. I'm mostly worried about Calc and chem

Is it a doable schedule? I want to go into the medical field and math and science are my strong subjects

Check the other threads on this subject. It’s an overkill schedule and has been covered about three times in the last few weeks, virtually the same exact schedule.

If math and sci are your strong suits, then don’t be worried about Chem, Bio and Calc. IMO, yes, your schedule is doable, BUT, my STEM kid opted out of AP Lit, and took a normal level Eng comp class. He didn’t want to take the time to read a novel every 2 weeks. And since he had a 5 in AP Eng Lang, it didn’t hurt him at all. He also didn’t have a study hall, and only half a lunch. Good luck!

It depends on the student and on the school. In my school, the first 3 (or should I say 4 haha) are rather easy classes where in another school AP English Lit is a very difficult class. It also depends whether you, the student, have the time, time-management skills, and study skills to pull it off.

Here’s my opinion: If you have the motivation for this schedule (cough cough, senioritis) then yes you can definitely pull it off. And since you’re posting on this site, I think you have motivation. One of my friends is actually doing something similar and has no problem.

Drop AP Lit and replace it with another English class. It’s A LOT of reading and you won’t be able to keep up with such a heavy schedule. Taking 5 APs senior year will already be considered super rigorous and risking B’s or worse will do you much more damage than not taking that 5th or 6th AP class.

It’s probably too tough when you throw in the hidden class called “College Apps and Essays.”.I agree with MYOS1634
