First things first, I am an asian male. And as you can see from the title, I have gotten 6 B's so far. I am currently a sophomore in a pretty competitive high school. I have gotten 6 B's so far: 3 freshman year and 3 sophomore year 1st semester. I have gotten a B in health, both semesters of 9th grade English (I had an amazingly difficult English teacher), and first semester AP Chem, AP Euro, and Korean 5. So far I'm really worried that I might not get accepted into my dream schools (Stanford, UC Berkeley, etc). I told myself that I would strive to get straight A's from here on out and take as many AP's as I can. As my school is competitive, I'm probably in the 200th class rank out of 700, which makes me even more afraid. Do you guys think that I might be able to get into places like UC Berkeley if I do well from here on out? Some inspirational stories would be nice right now...-_-

One of my friends had an unweighted GPA of 3.7 and still got into UC Berkeley. He had a C in Algebra I, and was an Asian male as well.

He did get to Nationals for speech and debate, however. Get some good ECs, and keep your grades up. Upward trend and improving progress should allow you to be a competitive applicant.
