6 year Pharmacy Program

Hi, this thread is for anyone applying into/already accepted members of UConn's 6 year pharmacy program. If you are still in highschool like me, what are your grades like, sats, etc. If you have already been accepted into the pharmacy rogram, what should we focus on, and what shoud we do to increase our chances? So a basic format could be:

1 Grade
2 IS/OOS
3 UW GPA/ W GPA
4 SAT BREAKDOWN/ TOTAL
5 RELEVANT EC'S
6 ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

An advanced thankyou to anyone that posts on this thread. I appreciate it and I am sure many others do too.

I wouldn’t call it 6 years program, it’s actually a 2+4 program if you know the difference.

^ he’s right. UConn is a 2+4 so you aren’t guaranteed a seat in the pharmacy school. It is easier to get into a 2+4 since you can always end up changing majors. There are other schools that are a 0-6, which is you are basically guaranteed a seat in a pharmacy school as long as you maintain the minimum GPA. These programs are harder to get into and many students end up dropping the program.

Yeah at UConn everyone starts out in the ACEs program as a pre pharm major and after your sophomore year you apply to the pharm school at UConn of whereever you desire without absolutely any guarentee that you will be accepted. For that reason you should apply to some 0-6 programs such as Rutgers if you have high stats because those are very competitve but as long as you meet the minimum requirements you have a spot saved for you in pharm school.
