6 year physical therapy program

Hello

Can anyone direct me to a website that lists all of the colleges that offer a 6 year program for physical therapy. This would be a direct admission as a freshman into the college and then in 6 years one would graduate with a doctorate in physical therapy. I know that Marquette has a similar program, but I am having trouble finding other schools.

Thanks.

Look under the national organization web site. I believe Saint Louis University has one as well, my D was accepted into it but then was not sure and pursued a different degree. Good luck.It is a great field and there is a shortage in many areas of the country

Ithaca College.

Pretty sure.

I didn't think SLU had one, but the University of Evansville does.

Quinnipiac University

U of Miami but only if you are accepted into/meet their honors program requirements.

D says check out DYC, BU, Stern College, Sage, Husson, Hawaii, USP. There are still some 5-yr programs leading to a masters degree, but many of the masters programs are morphing into the DPT.

Villanova, I believe

thanks sunnyflorida and everyone else.
Does your D know of any solid programs on the west coast?

any others?

"In the Entry-Level DPT program at Northeastern University, you will be accepted directly into the Physical Therapy program as a freshman, so you can start taking related courses during your first semester. The Physical Therapy program at Northeastern will prepare you to to work as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in a variety of clinical settings."

http://bouve.neu.edu/programs/entrylevel.php

Check out Simmons in Boston - if this question is for a female!

http://www.simmons.edu/shs/academics/pt/degrees/index.shtml

Take a look at apta.org This is the website for the American Physical Therapy Association and you will find all accredited programs. The entry level degree for a physical therapist is now a doctoral degree (DPT or Ph.D).
It's an interesting journey and a rewarding profession.

Tim-we are on the east coast, and D is just not looking west. Sorry. The apta sight does not list specific 6 yr accelerated programs, you have to ferret those out. Try googling for "physical therapy 6 year accelerated degree programs" and see what you can find.

ps check U of the Pacific

And University of New England:
