6 years later, I log back on to CC.

I graduated High School in 2008, and 2 years prior to that, I heavily utilized College Confidential. I went to a small international school, so I cannot being to express my thankfulness to the community and resources that CC offers.

Looking back, I realize that I thought too much about the process. I think it's very helpful to give and take a little from this website, but it's also important to do what you're passionate about, and realize that in the end, everything works out. I didn't realize it then, but in 2012 I graduated from one of my top choices, and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything else. I work full time now, after having traveled for an extended period of time as well. Thinking back to the days of CC is very bittersweet, and I feel very appreciative of all it has done for me, and the network I established. I'm also glad I was able to contribute.

In the end, I would recommend this website without reservations and commend the community who continues to support it. Many thanks, and all the best.

wow this is SO neat. im a big fan of reading the profiles and threads and posts of people who’re no longer here, sometimes people whose accounts are as old as yours and who were last active as long ago as you were last active, but i never anticipated in my wildest dreams that any of them could ever come back, but you’re proof that they could, that’s so cool.

Looking back, Fellow, what if anything would you do differently?

I just logged back on today, after almost four years! I used to be on all the time back in my senior year of high school in 2010, and I continued to hang around during my first semester of college. I just graduated in December so I thought I’d come back and offer some friendly advice – especially since my little brother is a HS sophomore now and is starting to get into all of this :)

You’re so right, kids do stress a lot about getting into the ‘right schools’, i remember I really drove myself into the ground over it. But in the end, you know what? You only need to get into one school. And unless you’re going into business or law, it really doesnt matter what school you go to. I’d say about 90% of your post-college success comes from how hard you work, how much you want to succeed, who you know and how you handle your relationships with them.

Yeah, I agree with @omgmakemesmarter. It’s so cool to be able to see people that have gone through the process already and see them come back and share their experience. I’m just a high school junior, but this website already has helped me so much.
