A 600 on the writing section. The others are fine, 780 on maths, total is above 2100. (Very silly mistakes :/)
Now my query is: I believe I'm not a bad writer, and my essays have come out pretty fine too.
But since my SAT writing scores - same on 2 occasions - are pretty bad. Might universities look at my essays suspiciously, questioning their credibility?
I'm talking about top tier unis here - the likes of Stanford and Harvard.

Please advise, and is there anything I can do to take corrective measures?

You have time to try again, and/or try the ACT.

<a href=“Guidance Office: Answers From Harvard's Dean, Part 2 - The New York Times”>Guidance Office: Answers From Harvard's Dean, Part 2 - The New York Times; indicates that Harvard thinks that the SAT and ACT writing sections are better predictors than the other parts of the SAT and ACT.

I do not have to try anything again. I already applied for this year.

Corrective measures? You’ve put your application in, now you wait. I don’t think they will necessarily think you didn’t write your essays, I think most students are given the benefit of the doubt unless something looks funny in the essay itself. I suppose if they wanted, they could look up and read your SAT essay.

In that case it’d be fine. I thought my essay was not bad. Got an 8 both times. I made really silly mistakes on the MCQs though.
So, the waiting game continues.
