600 point increase... is it possible?

I scored in the mid 1200's the two times i took the SAT with no prep at all as a junior. I need at least 1800 to be considered for my #1 school... Is possible to get a 600 point increase in 2 months when i take it again in October? Please post tips on how!

Same situation, but I’m looking for a 400 pt boost. Anything greater than that would obviously be great, but I need at least 400 pts. So any tips would be appreciated.

Definitely possible. To do well in writing, all you have to know are rules. Silverturtle’s guide is perfect for that. Math is a little bit harder to improve because some people just aren’t good at math. Try getting a book that teaches the basic concepts and then use the ******** website and the blue book for practice problems. CR is probably the most difficult to increase as it requires skills that you gain over a couple years, but learning the direct hits vocab, learning the kinds of questions that are tested, and using the blue book to figure out how CollegeBoard test makers think will help to get that score up. Good luck!

which book is better?

I hope to god so.

I went from a ~1600 on my first SAT to a projected score of 2300+. Anything is possible

UserStudent, I actually got both books but if you already have a strong vocabulary but just need a bit more for the harder questions, get Volume 2

Study, study, study and more studying. Practice, and more practicing as well. Even if I may be preparing for my PSATs this October I am still preparing myself everyday by studying :).

Definitely get both volumes of Direct Hits. I’m almost certain that there will be a good number of words in Volume 1 that you don’t know.

What is the ******* website? Can anyone please give a link?

thanks guys. anymore tips?
