600 to 730

3 days ago I took a practice SAT test. I scored a 600 (-17).

Today I took the same practice SAT test. I scored a 730 (-6).

Is it because I possibly remembered the answers, or that I looked at things differently?

yea probably

The first part or the second part.

you probably remembered the answers and you were already familiar with the passages and questions

.............. of course you remembered the questions. why dont' you try taking a different test and answer your question yourself

yep, hate to burst your bubble, but you probably remembered the answers :(. Even if you don't remember everything clearly, you probably still have some residual memories that could tip you off a lot.

On the real SAT verbal I got a 550, so at least the first time I took the test I took twice, it was better than that.

never take a test twice , because after taking it once, consider that test "compromised" and "invalid" to judge your rate of improvement

but won't you run out of tests?

Then you'll need to know WHY you are getting the questions wrong.

I do that, but with reading, for me anyhow, it is fairly evident why. I've tried doing that approach, and will keep doing it, but it really isn't doing much for me, and I don't know how to help myself.

I have like 13 tests. I keep getting in the 550 range. :-

I've read a lot of books, that isn't the problem. It's the questions that are getting me for some odd reason. :-

Yeah, I have tons of practice tests, and it always seens that if I try to retake one, I score significantly higher. I usually have a vague idea of which are the right answers, although I admit sometimes I remember the answer I put originally, which turned out to be wrong, and I, thinking that I remember it because it was right, choose it, not so subconsciously, so that my score will be higher, and I'll think I'm doing better. Hmmm.... where did that sentence go wrong?

Yes, you remembered the test information.
Try studying tips on doing well, and then study why you missed the questions.

lol.... you remembered the answers
