610 in French SAT II...retake for Ivies?

Ok so i got a 610 in french but i only studied for it the day before my exam so its not too bad conisdering....but are sat 2 scores important enough to retake?? Anyone with previous experience of this?? Thanks

for ivies you need 750+.

Not necessarily 750+. But yes, you should retake it if you can improve. A 700+ is good enough. Just go through the stats profiles and look for ppl who have taken SAT II French and see how they did.

Yes, rule of thumb for Ivies is that you don't take SATII if you cann't get above 700.
You should not take it without preparation to begin with if you seriously considering applying to Ivies.

Is it true that CB is instituting a new policy that allows students to choose the scores that colleges see?? starting with the class of 2010?

Yes; you can check the college board website for more information.

I just called CB and they said that the new polict does not apply for JUNE 2008 SATs... but I think this person didn't really know what she was talking about because on the website it says:

"Students who complete a test prior to the launch of the new score-reporting feature will be able to take advantage of this option when sending past or future scores."

doesn't that mean that any SATs that have already been scored can be chosen whether to be sent or not??

Or just don't report your French SAT II and choose 2 other SAT IIs.
