I recently read in a college book that Auburn only produced 67% students graduating within 4 years. What happens to the rest? Other colleges that I’m looking at have a 80-95%? Is there an explanation for this?

I think it may a combination of you, the student and the school. You control yourself and if you drink and party away your junior year, it may take longer. Also, I've heard some schools are notorious, for telling kids during their senior year that they still need to take _______ class(es) to graduate. But I don't know what Auburn is like in that aspect.

Most people graduate in more than 4 years but less than 5 (they graduate the summer or fall semester after). Auburn advisors are notorious for not telling people that they need to take X or Y class to graduate, which is why you should get a bulletin as soon as you enter, write down all the classes you have to take, and keep track of them religiously yourself.
