7 AP's too much?

So it’s been a full month of school since my junior year started, and I am in 7 AP’s and I’m doing really well.
The classes are
AP Calc AB
AP CSA
AP Gov.
APES
AP Lang
AP Spanish 4
AP Psychology
I have A’s in all the classes except Spanish which is only an 82. I have really been struggling in Spanish to maintain only a B, will this hurt my chances of getting into a top 20 school?

Now normally I’d say there’s no harm in taking many APs, but seven is… extenuating. It’s great that you’ve managed this well so far, but these classes may only get harder soon. Moreover, it’s your junior year, so you’re also focusing on EC’s and SAT/ACT. IMO, drop one or two of these classes and just take them next year, especially ones that you’re not as passionate about.

yeah @h0kulani my parents told me the same advice during course selection. I might just drop to honors spanish.

Seems like a good idea to drop to honors Spanish. May is going to be extremely stressful for you.

Drop to Honors Spanish indeed, and perhaps either APES or AP psych (having both the same year really looks like padding).
An optimal schedule would have you in 3-4 core AP, AP English language +a couple others depending on your interests.
You should have 8-9 hours if sleep a night to protect your brain and growth, enough time for a few ECs pushed to the highest level you can manage (impact >>>> number of activities), and prepare systematically for the PSAT, SAT/act, and subject tests.

Agreed that you should drop to Honors Spanish and take AP next year. Otherwise, keep at it in your other classes. Sounds like you’re doing well so far!
