I'm trying to to send in my (super-late) missing pieces of financial aid application for RD incoming freshman at Cornell. No matter WHERE I look (email, letters, they've sent me, online) I CANNOT find a 7-digit Cornell ID. I'm assuming it's not my applicant ID since that is 10 digits with a dash in the middle. I just want to get this sent in but I've literally been looking all week and can't find anything! Any advice/hints??

Also ask on the Cornell forum:

Not specific to Cornell, but I’ve had good luck finding student ID numbers on the official letter of acceptance. Also, I’ve just emailed the FA official who wanted the supplemental info and they have supplied it.

That’s the problem…I got a likely letter, not an actual acceptance yet

You should have gotten an email from Cornell after you submitted the application. You use it to check your application status also. It is something like app12-<first letter="" of="" your="" first="" name=""><first letter="" of="" your="" last="" name="">number.</first></first>

Right, got that, but it’s not 7 digits. I logged on to the the site here the email took me and I couldn’t find it there either.

They are asking for your Cornell ID, which you don’t have yet…just put “Not yet assigned” and they’ll understand. Only students who were admitted ED have their ID codes already.

Thank you everybody!!
