I'm Indian, my dad's on my tail about this program....... what a fob

and.....mm..i'm from Texas..maybe they would want someone from here

chances?

bump...anyone?

i think you are in with a significant amount of merit money. best of luck - i think you have your pick of almost any school in the nation.

hey- i guess ba/md programs r an indian thing lol- i'm indian and i'm applying 2

I'm indian... and I applied also lol. By the way, how difficult is this program to get into... does anyone know the basic rundown of how many people apply/get in, etc?

haha i wonder if they use the "quota system" for admission to this program? all i know is that too many indians apply.

i'm indian too but not applying to this program, lol. heck yeah indians. desi pride

i didnt know so many indians were on this board

27 people get in out of about 600 who applied

about 20 of those 27 enroll

and it's pretty hard 2 get in- my bf is @ gw and the ba/md kids live above her, and she says they're all like insanely smart

27?? jeez......

Does GWU look at all 3 sections of the SAT...or do they count the writing portion as a SAT II?

I was going to apply for rice/baylor......ha..but it's tooo late

is anyone applying to any other med programs besides gw?

I applied to Rice undergrad... so if I get in I'll apply to Baylor. I applied to REMS, usc, union/amc, drexel, case western, vcu, neoucom, and brown plme.... im not expecting to have much of a chance at any though. and btw... do you guys know if Temple University still has their combined program?

this should help a bit

to answer ur question wrx- im not 100% sure, but i think as an SAT II

Seven-Year Integrated B.A./M.D. and Integrated Engineering and Medicine Programs:
Students admitted to the Seven-Year Integrated B.A./M.D. Program and the Integrated Engineering and Medicine Program (IEMP) pay a special tuition rate each year over the seven-year period for the B.A./M.D. Program and over the eight-year period for the IEMP Program. For the entering class of 2005, this rate is $45,000 less a $15,000 annual merit discount for a total of $30,000 each year. This results in a $105,000 total merit discount for the B.A./M.D. program and a $120,000 total merit discount for the IEMP program.

This is off their site...but I'm guessing not everyone in the program gets this much money. How in the world can you get this scholarship??

im pretty sure everyone in the program gets that much money- that's what the admissions officer said during my visit

so, anyone hear about the interview? i asked the admissions office and they said we should find out by either this week or next week

from what i know (i have a friend who applied), everyone who got an interview has been notified.

yup. i got my letter yesterday. i was rejected.

I got an interview for the BA/MD program but wasn't notified about being accepted to GW itself... Is that odd? And does anyone know when the acceptance/rejection letters for the 7-year are sent out?
