7 year BS/MD program vs. Biomedical Engineering program at Johns Hopkins

Hello all. I would really appreciate any advice or input regarding which would be a better choice: the Biomedical Engineering Program at Johns Hopkins University or the Physician-Scientist 7 year program at RPI and Albany Medical school.

My main goal in life is to be a doctor and potentially a neurosurgeon so I understand that the RPI/AMC program will get me there faster and guarantees me spot in med school. However, I cannot give up the thought of me potentially doing well at Hopkins (a dream school of mine for a while and I got in Biomed engineering program) and the number of opportunities for medical school and greater residency offers (compared to Albany medical school, where i will go through the physician scientist program).

I've been taking college classes full-time at a university for 2 years (junior and senior year of highschool) so I feel that I can be successful at JHU, however, I am 100% sure I want to be a doctor so is it worth risking and working extra hard for through JHU( shadowing, volunteering, research, campus involvement, MCAT, high GPA)? Or just taking the guaranteed, less stress path of the 7 year program( no MCAT, maintain 3.5 GPA)? Will doing well at JHU make a huge impact on my future regarding med school opportunities and residency? AKA is it worth taking the chance? So if anyone has any experience with either program or has any advice, it would be much appreciated. I've heard pros and cons about both programs so I am pretty torn. Thanks again!

Also does anyone have an idea of the ranking of albany medical college? They don't release their information for ranking so I was wondering if anyone had any info on their ranking besides categorizing them as a "middle of the pack med school". Thanks again!

If you know for a fact you want to be an doctor I would choose Albany.
