Oh. Thanks i guess. I just don't feel like it's necessary. Do you think it's necessary. I mean, I guess I'm shooting for Stanford, since my SAT is around the 2250 area.

People say once you hit a certain range (>2250), the reason that you won't be accepted at HYPS will not be because of your "low" SAT score.

Please stop bragging. It's obvious that you know it's worth it; if you are intelligent enough to get that high a score, you should be smart enough to tell that this looks like bragging.

Wow, i totally did not intend to come off as arrogant, i'm sorry! There are THOUSANDS of people with higher scores, why would I brag?

I was actually wondering where exactly the "threshold" SAT score lies - people claim that once past a certain point, additional points do not help your application much. Like, it's more worthwhile to focus on other activities.

yea but 2300 does it look good.
I got a 2200 first time (750 r, 670 math, 780 w)
Second time got a 2230 (800 r, 630 math, 800 w)
So super scored 2270. And even though I am not retaking...I still regret that I didn't get my 700 in math, my main goal in retaking. In the end though I think for both of us the extra 30-40 points won't be the thing that gets us rejected from a school, so at least for me I am done stressing over SATS.

its all psychological. Anything 2250+ is going to put you in the ballgame at ANY school.
don't retake it. Not worth the time effort or money. You would just be fueling the collegeboard machine!
