700-800 Cr Sat

My CR range is stuck between 600-670 and I really want to boost it up to 700 and above...
I'm not an avid reader and usually just read the books assigned in school- but since last September, I've been reading the Time magazine, etc. I've noticed a lot of improvement, yet I'm still stuck at 600-670! My SATs are in about 2 weeks, so I doubt I can see any jump in my score..

Apart from reading widely, deeply, etc, etc, etc, and memorizing vocab anyone have anything else to suggest?

well whats your strategy when dealing w/ reading passages?...if you have time you may want to play around w/ your strategy a bit in order to move more quickly through the q's(if your problem is not being able to finish)

I'm able to find patterns and find ways to do the Math and Writing portion, so I tried to do so fr the CR as well. I know they usually have the big picture question, what the author's opinion/tone is, etc. but I still can't get the right anwser! What I basically do is underline the line numbers that the questions ask about, read through the passage (but sometimes if the passage is esoteric or boring, I tend to find that I have no clue what it is talking about- or I think I understand the author's tone, but end up being wrong, etc), and anwser the questions using POE.

Well, don't overanalyze any of the questions, and don't draw conclusions while you read. That's usually how I ended up getting them wrong. Just deal with what they give you and don't think into it too much. When they give you a specific quote/line numbers that a question is based on, look at ONLY that section to answer.
