720 SAT 1 Math v 770 SAT Math IIC...Retake SAT I?

If I'm looking at engineering with a 720 Math and a 770 Math IIC, should I retake? Or will the 770 offset the 720?

Also, I did very well on the Crit Reading and Writing parts, so my total score comes to 2270.

Math II's 770 means you missed a big chunk (~41 Raw)

wait how hard is math II?

(1) how many questions, (2) how many can you miss for 800? (like 2-3?), how about for like 770?

because that seems pretty easy then, way more generous for people that make careless mistakes

also to answer the orignal question, nah i personally wouldnt worry about it, you might have own opinions though...i think 2270 is good enough and that 770 is pretty good, even if you missed a big chunk...

50 questions--1 hour.

Not sure how many you can miss, but 770 is 82nd percentile, but that's probably because very few people took it at all.

usually about 7-8 wrong is the lowest for an 800, so 770 would prolly b about 12-14

A raw score of 43-44 is generally needed for an 800. I would say a 770 is about 9-10 wrong; OP, I’m in a similar situation (740M on the SAT, 770 on math II; I’m applying to Caltech, MIT, Harvey Mudd, etc.) and I’m going to retake math II for an 800 to offset the lower SAT I score.

How do you normally do on practice tests? After getting a lot of 790s and 800s on practice tests, I was disappointed with a 720 on the real test. When I took it a second time, I did much better (800).

they probably show the same amount of skill since the math 2 has a big curve (you can miss 8 and get 800 still)

I’ve got 640 for Maths II and 680 for chemisty.
It is bad or what?
Should i retake?

i had a 740 M SAT I and a 780 M SAT II

i retook the SAT I cause i had to bring up writing anyway, and i raised my score to an 800.

i would go with the SAT I if any other parts of your SAT is weak

i got a 760 on sat 1’s, should getting an 800 be that difficult on sat 2’s?
