750 Math for 800 Critical Reading

^lol i can see how u feel.4 vocabs is really alot,i missed the same too ;< , but u have to know that 590 is really not bad to start~~ OP's scores are a lil lower so u kno =p

It is DEFINITELY possible to raise your CR scores in time, if you just hack a method that’s right for you. I raised mine by…well, from getting 3-4 wrong per passage to 1-2 wrong, if any, and managed an 800 on the OCT Sat while getting only a 690 in a PR11 practise test a week before.

What made a difference for me was that I learnt a new method (Noitaraperp’s, stick’ied in this subforum under the title “From 500 to 800 in Critical Reading” or something like that). If you’ve studied from Barron’s, I think their method is similar. Keep underlining ALL the lines from which line reference questions come, and read the passage through, stopping when you come to the underlined lines, reading them super-carefully and slowly, and answering the question referring to it at once (especially helpful for people like me with a short attention span who get distracted easily). The answer JUMPS out at you, and it helps eliminate distractors since you read the question immediately after reading the line concerned, therefore you know exactly what’s in the line and what’s before/after it and put there to intentionally mislead you. I honestly suggest you try that method, and see how it works for you. Hitting upon a method that suits you the best is an IMMENSE help.
