780 CR untimed 650 timed

The title explains it all. Somehow, when I set the stopwatch for myself, I feel like a weight is on my head/ there's a wall in my head or something and I can't think clearly at all. However, when I don't set time for myself, I get like one question wrong on the passages... (of course part of it is because I have more time, but I genuinely feel like I understand the passages much better even though I spend the same amount of time on them) What can I do?
If there are no proposed solutions for my test anxiety, do you think there's anything I can do to improve my speed in CR so I won't feel pressured? I remember reading somewhere that a person went from doing 25 min per section to 7 min...

(I tried setting time parameters for myself aka. be done with SC in 2 min, etc. but it just ended up making things worse...)

I think you just have to convince yourself that you are capable of getting most of the questions correct. You should try reading newspapers or magazines daily. This will help you to quickly read the passages without sacrificing veracity.

I think you’re just going to have to practice over and over again; you’ll gradually be able to do the sections at a quicker pace if you keep practicing.

How quickly do you do the passages untimed?

The timing was the worst part for me during the SAT, especially during the math sections. My highest was a 720 on the October SAT test CR and that was my all time high. I think the key is to practice, practice, and practice. Dont ever take a test untimed, thats what i did and thats how I messed up my first SAT. And for anxiety, just remember, its just a test. so many other factors affect your college admission. Just relax and you will do fine
