My sister got a 1020 on her 7th grade SAT last month. I think she got something like 570M, 450CR, but I'm not sure. She got something in the mail from Duke today about summer programs. Should she be expecting something from JHU too? I'm just curious on how her scores compare to other 7th graders (including normal kids, non CCers lol) and what kind of programs she qualifies for.

Oh, and how are all the 7th grade programs. Are they worth it?

I don't know if you care, but here's my freshman year PSAT vs my Senior SAT. Freshan Year was the first time I took any kind of SAT or PSAT, so it is somewhat comparable to a 7th grade SAT:

Frosh PSAT: 157
54 M / 48 CR / 55 WR

Senior SAT: 2030
710 M / 640 CR / 680 WR

Gain in Math: 170 points
Gain in CR: 160 points
Gain in Writig: 130 points

Thanks. It just shows what a difference 4 years makes. Based on my results, one could expect around a 150 point increase per section on the SAT from Frosh to Senior Year, although it could vary.

Sophomore year: SAT (unofficial)--1820/2400 (570 CR, 660 M, 590 W)
PSAT (unofficial)-- 180

**Junior year/B: SAT--2170 first time (750 CR, 770 M, 650 W)
2300 second time (750 CR, 760 M, 790 W)
Composite: 2310
PSAT--226

I got my act together in time, and did well when it really mattered...

no the princeton review offered a free SATs, with essay grading...
And i took the PSAT in 10th grade through my school, but it didnt count since i was only a sophomore...

Here's a link to 2007 Midwest Academic Talent Search award criteria for various grades on the ACT or SAT. The regional award score levels are the top percentile for each grade.

Wow... what a great place to show off. I'm sorry but, WHO CARES what you got in 7th grade! I got a high score, but the only thing it was good for was an invitation to a ceremony that I didn't go to, and a crap load of junk mail. When people turn this thread into a brag fest then it becomes pointless. I understand the reason you would want to compare, but it gets killed when people start showing off. So lets all give sishu7 a round of applause for his excelent score! He must be the smartest guy on the planet! If only I was him...

I see participants in this year's round of Talent Search tests are curious about how scores increase from seventh grade to later grades. Thanks to the participant in the newly posted thread who posted a link to this thread.

In 7th garde i got a 1150/1600 and got into the CTY program. 8th grade 1250/1600. In the beginning of this year, my sophomore years i got a 2050/2400. I did not study at all this year though.
