7th semester help please...

ok so my current gpa is a 2.9 and SAT score of 1780

i want to get into the university that requires a minimum 2.8 gpa and 1530 SAT score..

they recently sent me a letter saying they need my transcript for my 7th semester... i got a 2.8 for that semester, but also received my december sat score of a 1930.... do these balance out the chances of my admission?

this is the only university i applied to and im under a lot of stress.. >_<

You only applied to one school. What was it if I may ask?

The new SAT score of yours definitely gives you a better chance of admission. Your gpa is maintained at a certain level so you should be good.

thanks!.. and i have only applied to the University of Hawaii…

anybody else?..

If you’re really worried, I would see if there’s another university you can apply to that has lower requirements, just in case. However, your SAT score is great for the school and your GPA hasn’t changed much. I think it will be okay, but backups are always smart.

yea but a person i know just recieved a letter of rejection and his GPA was a 3.2 with a SAT score of a 1460… it makes me confused because his gpa is significantly higher…

^ but that person’s SAT score is significantly lower, the person got a 1460 when the requirement was a 1530. I think that is why he/she got rejected even though he/she had a higher GPA. I am not completely familiar with UH’s admission policy, but if its a requirement, they probably have to meet it.

wow I see… thanks… everyones info relieves me a bit… but i guess i have to wait for to outcome…
