8-capped vs. fully weighted GPA for admissions

Given that we've established that the first link gives the average Fall 2005 fully weighted GPA (4.25) (The second link gives both capped and fully weighted for Fall 2005, 4.11 and 4.25, respectively, as well as some other good information), which GPA do you guys think UCLA weights more highly in their admissions formula? Although the UC emphasizes the importance of the capped GPA, it seems to me that UCLA is equally (if not more) concerned with all the honors classes. After all, the fully weighted GPA is a factor listed in comprehensive review. Opinions?

mm i'm not really sure. But I'm so glad to learn that the 4.25 is the full weighted, and not capped! For UCB it should be the same way then..right? I hope that the full weighted is given more consideration.

It doesn't matter which is given more consideration. They evaluate how many honors/AP classes you have taken and how well you have done in them. I don't think they worry too much about the numbers like that.

Am I the only one who read the subject as "8-clapped" at the beginning?
