I just got eight college app fee waivers in the mail from Collegeboard…I thought it was only four???
Was there other information? I think it might have been part of an initiative for first generation students.
Make sure you read the instructions on the fee waivers. You need to qualify for using them.
“Realize Your College Potential (RYCP) is part of ongoing research that sends packets of customized college information and college application fee waivers to high-achieving, low-income, high school seniors.”

Not for first gen only. ^ sounds more like it.
D got 8, too.
There is a place to sign to affirm we are eligible.
@mommdc , This is what I did:
I added our earned income plus the amount that we have been getting in interest (which has been pretty stable)and it is within the guidelines for the reduced price much for our family size.
Do you think I’m good to go?
@mommdc has become my special helper.
@MACmiracle Yes, I would think you are good, if the combined household income is under the limit.
@momcino Yes, sorry, my D got this about 3 years ago, I didn’t know exactly why anymore. She was first generation and was eligible to use a SAT test waiver because we had a lower income the year before. But by the time she applied to colleges, we had a higher income, so she didn’t use these.
Didn’t get anything except a packet of 8 fee waivers and a letter. No mention of RYCP anywhere. Oh well, I won’t turn down 8 fee waivers
