Hey everyone

Don't they release the scores early at a price of 8 dollars?

Does anyone know when they will be available for purchase?

Thanks

I don't think they're doing it this time.

They go online November 14th, you just have to pay $8 to see them online, and the essay isnt graded yet so it wont be on there

I thought you didn't have to pay this year- that they did away with the $8 charge between last and this year.
Mind you, I'm not taking the ACT this school year, so that could be wrong.

all i know is that they didnt charge for the september ACT, so i doubt they are charging this 1

they arent charging but the scores are coming out a little bit later than they did when you did pay

im pretty sure it was around 10 days when you could pay, and now its 14-18 or something like that

you don't pay $8 anymore..
They're free!

But it's also a few days later.

^So what?

I don't understand why you're all complaining...it's not like that extra 4-8 days is going to kill you, or somehow keep you from getting into the college of your choice. The colleges know if the scores are being released/sent later and make adjustments. Take a chill pill.

^Not necessarily, Getting scores earlier can help some students in choosing whether or not to follow through an early decision/action admission plan. A student may have an EA app due Nov 1, and choose to take the chance of sending in their ACT score for which the score is unknown.

Generally, the faster you know your score, the more helpful it is.

In addition to what Oni said, here's a quote from YOUR thread:

"All my apps are in. I've already heard from one (accepted yay!) but am still waiting on the others and I feel like I'm going crazy...I practically assault the poor mailman every day. Any advice on how to cope with this impatience? Especially since it may be months before I hear..."

Evidently you're having a hard time waiting too.. ;)

...Don't you think that's a little different? ACT scores aren't going to decide the next 4-8 years of my life.

No but they might have a factor deciding them.

ACT scores dont come out any earlier than ACT say they will on the website. There was a stupid rumor like this for the sept test, and it turns out the scores came out 3 days after ACT said they would on the website. There is no way to get your scores earilier and the $8 fee was from last year's test, this year there is no fee.

Personally, I'm a little old fashioned: I wait to get my report via the mail.
