Hey, I desperately need to find an easy 8 week course. If anybody here knows of any easy courses I could take, I would really appreciate it. The class can be any subject, I'm mainly talking about electives anyway. Thanks

I don’t have any recommendations, but here is the list of 2nd-8 week classes.

IU offers some very easy two credit courses in the second eight weeks called EDUC-U 212 CURRENT ISSUES IN UNDERGRAD LIFE. These have different topics each semester, and some of them are repeated once every year or so. Look for a teacher who is reteaching a topic and has had easy grading in the past using the grade distribution reports for like the last five or six fall and spring semesters to find easy grading classes.
Also, these classes are not posted to the eight weeks schedule posted by IllinoisMom until only a week or two before they start. These are rescue type classes and they don’t want people signing up for them unless they really need to get back to 12 credits, so usually students find out about them from advisers when they have dropped classes and are desperate. Anybody can sign up for these classes, though. Just check the real time class schedules everyday until they start coming up-- which should be any day now. Hudson Holland Scholars seminar has the same U212 course number, but that in not the class you want, as it is a full semester class that has already started.

The credit for these classes will not meet Kelley or COAS degree requirements except for the total hours. There are not good for distribution option credit and A&H, S&H, and N&M credit, but they will keep you in good standing for scholarships requiring 12 credits during the semester.

These courses are pretty much designed to keep people eligible for financial aid the rest of the semester. The students in them tend to have very low gpa’s but the average gpa for many sections is very high, so it is easy to conclude that these are very easy classes. Here is the grade distribution for the Spring 2010 semester.

Thanks to both of you! The grade distributions are very helpful.
