Hi guys, just wanted to know my chances at those 8 year, or accelerated med programs. My choices: ANY OF THEM. I need u guys to look at my stats and recommend me some good places.

Other Choices:

UCLA
UCSD
Duke
U of Rochester
Cornell
Georgetown
USC

GPA weighted: 4.1 or 4.2 depens on next semester ( I AM STILL A JUNIOR)

ECs:
-President of UNICEF club
-President of Future Suergons of America club
-I play on the USTA Team tennis. Our team won the southern orange county league , and got a chance to play at indian wells tennis(that is where the pros play)
-Volunteer at the hospital more that 300 hrs
-Volunteer at the library
-TaKeWondo more than 7 years. Won numerous medals and trophies recognizing leadership.

SAT II
Bio M: 700
Physcis: (expected) > 700
Chemistry: Expected > 700
Math II C: (expected) > 700

Now here is the bad Part.
I took the SAT once, and got
CR: 580
math:530 ( I DIDN't SEE THE LAST TWO PAGES)
Writing: 580

I am practicing though. On my most recent SAT, I got
CR: 640
math:640
Writing: 580

I have the ACT as a Back up. I am taking it in April, and have gotten a 29 on the practice one.

OH yeah. I AM A JUNIOR. ACCEPTING ANY SUGGESTIONS.

sorry to say it but if you don't bring up your SAT score by at least 100 in each section, i.e. 300+ points up in total, your chance of getting into 8 years med program is zero.

Univ of Rochester 8-yr Med program - Huge reach. You need near 800 SATs. And your unweighted GPA needs to be close to 4.0, if your weighted GPA is only 4.2 you need to improve it a lot in the next two semesters. Good luck.

Let's say that we call of teh 8 year. What would my chances be for U of rochester, cornell, UCLA, DUKE, any others u guys suggest. That to with my new SATs on my latest practice test

Does pre-med really matter. I mean all these people on CC only want to go to top notch schools because of prestige or because of their parents. But, for me, quality of education matters. In this case, does it matter where I go for studying pre-med.

Also, do med schools differentiate between schools. I mean would they look a UC student the same as someone from Cornell?
