800 on SAT Writing...

Of all the sections to get a perfect score, I chose the one that counts the least.

So, how much would an 800 on SAT Writing help in admissions? Are colleges beginning to consider the Writing section more than in the past?

(710 and 720 for Reading and Math, respectively.)

Anyone?

Bueller?

If you apply to the Ivy League, or very well known school; your writing score will count equally as great.

Some colleges look at the writing score and some don't. Ex. Rice U - Houston looks at W score.

"If you apply to the Ivy League, or very well known school; your writing score will count equally as great."

Not Ivy League, but my top choices are Wesleyan, Vassar, NYU, University of Chicago, Bard, and Macalester. Do Liberal Arts schools generally place much importance on the Writing score?

check every college you're applying to and see if they count the writing section or not. nevertheless, an 800 W will still impressive even if it's not counted.

"nevertheless, an 800 W will still impressive even if it's not counted."

Yeah, pretty much what I'm hoping. Thanks.
