80K in student loans?

I wish I could go to a cheap public. There are just none near me - all the nursing schools near me (BSN) are private. The closest public school I could go to is 2 hours away. I can’t commute 4+ hours per day, and if I move there I would then have to pay for my own housing, food, etc - which would cause it to even out to the 52K private school anyway.

If that is your best option and you have looked at it up, down and all around, and this is what you want to do, go for it. You seem to have a good support system right now and the program seems very doable in a year. Since this is not your first Bachelor’s degree, you are not going to be eligible for much if any in government grants. Just understand exactly what your commitments are going to be.
