89.3 in APUSH...how to ask to round?

I got an 89.3% in APUSH this semester and my teacher says she does not round. In her email to everyone she said to consider how grades are earned and to consider what your grades are in each category (I have 100 in every category but tests/projects where I have a C). I also got a 72% on the final.
How would you suggest I ask her to round my grade up?
(*I know this may sound annoying but I poured my heart and soul into this class and this would be my only A this semester...)

If she said she doesn’t round, she probably doesn’t round. Do you have any leverage at all (in terms of anything you can use to justify getting an A when you got a 72% on the final) or a good relationship with her?

I agree with the poster above. The only way I would ask would have been if I had a C average in tests/projects, but managed an A or B on the exam. If you would have done better it would have given you leverage, saying you mastered the material.

ungghh i was in a club she sponsored freshmen yr but quit bc i hated it so much so i dont think that would be good to bring up, and not rlly, i emailed her abt how hard i worked and stuff and she is going to hate me so much- im done-

I’m sorry but that grade isn’t even what most teachers round anyways. At least make sure it’s 89.5. I don’t think there is much you can except doing a better job on the final next year.

I think the only thing you can do is email her about how much effort you put in, which you already did. I don’t think it’s right to beg for .2% so you can raise your grade to an A - I side with her when she says that grades are earned. She’s not obligated to do anything with your grade and I think it’s a little immature to ask her to round it, but an email asking her what you can do to improve your grade next quarter/semester is always appropriate.

I feel like since you got a 72% on the final, and have a C average for tests and projects, then you somewhat deserve that 89/B instead of 90/A because it shows that maybe while you did try really hard, you didn’t fully understand the material. If you’d done really well on the exam, then maybe. Unfortunately, you don’t get A’s for pouring your heart and soul into the class, you get A’s for understanding the material and doing well on tests.

If I were a teacher I wouldn’t have too much leniency for rounding a semester grade like that because you have a whole semester to work hard and get a 90.7 if you really want your A. And as other posters pointed out, it’s a history class not a Rhetoric and Argumentation class.
