8th Grade SAT Scores

I'm in 8th grade and I just received my SAT scores from the November SAT. I got a 710 in math, 600 CR and 580 Writing (essay: 8); total score of 1890. In June of this year, I got a 640 in Math, and 540's in CR and Writing. Are these scores good considering my age?

You should probably be at closer to 2150+ in 8th grade, if indeed you are aiming for a 2400 come 11th/12th grade.

^ That’s not even true. I had a 1580 in 7th grade lol and I have a superscore of a 2400 as a sophomore.
Your scores are great for an 8th grader.

*** college dude is trolling.

I think the first time I took the SAT in 8th grade I got like 500 CR, 700 M, 520 W, then I took it again in 8th grade like the next time they offered and got like 570 CR, 760 M, 590 W.

Ended up taking it once in high school and got 800M/800CR/730W

I had a 1580 in eighth grade and now as a junior my highest single sitting score is 2370 (770 M). So you are definitely fine for your age. Just relax, enjoy the rest of middle school, and save your worrying about the SAT until a few years from now! Anyway, they’re revamping it now so it won’t even be the same test by the time you take it for real.

I agree with RoseOak, you’re doing fine!
I had around an 1800 (forgot my exact scores…) in 8th grade which actually made me pretty upset after seeing my friends receive 2000s. But, I winded up taking it once in high school and got a 2370. Don’t freak out about it until you’re like a sophomore.
