9 APs a year??

Hmm...my school is in your state and we field similar performances.

A JR in my school is taking the following:
AP Physics C Mechanics
AP Physics C E&M
AP Chemistry
AP Environmental Science
AP Microcecnomics
AP MacroEconomics
AP JR English
Calculus 4 at the nearest University
and probably Differential Equations at the nearest University
As a Sophomore he took: AP Physics B, AP Calc BC, AP Statistics
and received 5s in all three. He can take 200 level Engineering courses at the university next year as a SR in high school.

We have a Senior taking:
AP Physics B
AP Physics C Mechanics
AP Physics C E&M
AP Calculus BC
AP Microeconomics
AP Macroeconomics
AP Computer Science A
AP Art History

We have another Senior taking:
AP Physics C Mechanics
AP Physics C E&M
AP Statistics
AP Calculus BC
AP Environmental Science
AP Art History
AP Senior English
He took AP Bio, AP JR Eng, AP Physics B, and AP Psych last year.

And another SR taking:
AP Physics C Mechanics
AP Physics C E&M
AP Physics B
AP Environmental Science
AP Calculus BC
AP Computer Science A
AP Art History
She took AP Stastistics, AP Biology, and AP Psych last year.

I don't think anybody will take 9 though. Most people are taking 4-6 APs this year. Last year, a SR that went to Harvard only received 5s in AP Bio, AP SR English, AP Spanish, AP Euro, and AP Psych. I'd figure 9 is overkill. Those taking 7 a year have stacked certain types of classes like Physics and Economics. Good luck to 9 APs though. I think it's possible.
