9 essay, 800 writing

<p>lol i'm actually an insane writer, if i do say so myself, it was the first time i've taken the SAT and i sat there for 10 minutes, looking outside, thinking about what to write. but i did get perfect mc, with that 9 essay (ewwwww, i had gotten a 10 in 7th grade, or whenever i took it in middle school).<br>
anyone else had this happen? i find it funny :D dont troll me for getting the 800...or i'll drop the 'i got a 2390 without a single minute of prep, after swim practice in the morning and having to think about going to a swim meet in the evening...p.s. im 15' on you

<p>I personally got a 10 essay and 2 MC wrong and ended with 800. I know several others with a 9 on the essay, though I’m not sure what the margin for error is for that in terms of MC. (I took it in Nov 2010 btw)</p>

<p>I got an 8 essay and 2 MC questions wrong and I got a 720. But I took it back in March.</p>

<p>I think the lowest you can go is 10 with perfect MC for an 800. I had a 12 with perfect MC for my 800 lol.</p>

<p>My friend who took the October 2010 SAT got a 80/9–>800.</p>

<p>You’re really cutting it close for an 800 if you get an Essay Score of 9 and 80 on the MC. It only works out to an 800 on several (I would say around half) testing dates; one of them was the October testing date.</p>

<p>In fact, I believe there is only one confirmed instance where an 8 on the Essay and an 80 on the MC was an 800: January 2008. Just something interesting to note.</p>

<p>I got an 80/9 in November and got an 800…and I was pretty surprised, since I thought it was one of my best SAT essays. :stuck_out_tongue: Oh well, an 800 is an 800. xD</p>
