9 Summer Credits/3 classes?

Hi, i’m registering for summer classes and I need some advice before I pay. I would ideally like to take 3 courses this summer, all of them three credits. The courses are:

Strategies for College Success(freshman intro class)
Physical Anthropology- Online
Intro to Enviro Science- Online

My reasoning for wanting to take these three is because i’m required to take the freshman class during my first semester, and I just finished a year of AP Environmental science so I feel that it would be easy to just take right now, immediately following that. It is also a prerequisite for all environmental science courses, and since i’m an enviro major it seems most efficient to take it now.

I do work part time but only 3-4 days a week and for around 4 hours, so my job is easily manageable. What is your opinion on taking these courses over the summer?

If you already took APES, is there a reason you can’t just take the AP exam and get credit for it at college? (I.e. maybe your college doesn’t accept AP credits or whatnot… mine accepts up to 30 except for pre-med.)

Strategies for College Success isn’t usually a difficult class… I took two 8-week college courses (music appreciation and history) in a summer and did fine. Are you taking an 8-week session or longer?

@CharlotteLetter Since i’m an environmental science major they won’t accept credit from the AP test. They are both 8 week sessions.

@blackkitteycat Well, if you’re good at those topics it should be fine. You aren’t taking lab with environmental science? I assume you already know some, if you’re planning to major in it. Just don’t procrastinate on work in online classes - some professors don’t respond to email at all Thursday-Sunday, so it’s important to stay on top of assignments. (Also, don’t assume tests will be open-book, I’ve had about 50/50 in online classes)

If you don’t have the best time management skills, I’d recommend dropping one of the sciences.

(btw, I’m only a HS sophomore with ~ 20 college classes done… I may have no idea what I’m talking about. @bopper usually has great advice on course loads. )

@CharlotteLetter No, my school doesnt offer a lab with this level of environmental science, it’s just a survey course. Thanks so much! I appreciate the help
