9 Weeks Till Ib Ends

I personally think the hardest would do is Theatre Arts. How subjectively it's marked! (And Art. What if your examiner is having a really crap day???)

Middle of IB mock week right now. Surghaldn. Stressed and I'm sick! (The bathroom is my best friend now)

I hate mocks. We finished them just a few weeks back. I'm so glad they are over. I actually passed all of them too, that made me really happy. My hands hurt for like a week after, trying to recover from all the writing.

yeah my friend does theatre arts - it just isnt fair how they can grade such a subjective subject. One of my friends last year was brilliant and was predicted 7, and got a 4 in the final exam!

EXACTLY!!!!

Imagine if you're heading to the UK to major in Theatre and since the UK count only the IB Diploma and not predicted (and auditions, for BFA)...how the pressure must build on them!

Has anybody even heard of an IBTA student (either SL or HL) receiving a 7?

I have a friend who does Theater Arts HL. I can tell you in awhile what she gets. She does well in that class, 6s and 7s. I'd be interested to see what she gets. They go in for their final soon. TA does final exams sooner than the other IB subjects, its a weird exam.

Guys, what is IB? I am from small town so all we have is just AP classes. How hard IB in comparing with AP?

a lot harder...............put it like this....it will grab you, twist you, flip you, rotate you, chew you up, and spit you right back out

very accurate BestMiler1 - I don't know I can't compare the two because I only do the IB, but my cousin did both and she said getting a 4+ in the IB is a lot harder than getting a 5 in the AP...and 4 is actually "satisfactory" in the IB. The grading goes up to 7!

Put it this way. I slept through AP Chemistry and Computer Science Freshman year and pulled 4's on the exam (I HATE KSP!!!!!!!!! and my Comp sci teacher didn't know it so I basically self taught 1 month before). I try relentlessly in ALL my IB classes, except physics, and can barely manage 5's with a dismal 3-4 in English on average.

i wish admissions officers knew that!

i think they do...

IB students...lol feel like family no matter which part of the world you're in..."EE", "TOK", "CAS", "HL/SL" etc never fail to trigger immediate understanding:D

i take visual arts... so yea i'm a bit queasy too about how the final grade's gonna turn out.
and the history HL exam is killer.
W_w
i came out of the mock exam feeling like i'd just lost half the muscles in my right hand. 3 in-depth essays in 2.5 hours is a bit much...

to be fair tho, i couldn't imagine myself doing maths/physics HL:p

and the history HL exam is killer.

i agree. im gonna hafta read a lot..:s

i'm being lazy and not studying....and really should study for math methods, bio sl and history hl.

i'll be happy as long as i pass. at this point im just sick of ib.

no i think the physics is going to be hard........history is all just basic knowledge........physics is conceptual.......i hate that

ha, failed my practice history papers

We had a practice for a history paper, still it wasn't even for real paper...it was a mere outline. Did I mention it was a group effort and we got a 10/40....that's sad. I wasn't even expecting that. The highest grade I think was like a 26/40...

really hmmmmm.........i do so well on these test.......my last marking period a lot of us got 99 for the marking period........im worried about physics.....that thing is going to be a killer

For the history paper 2's and ones I average a 6ish, but that is on a single 45 minute exam. The real thing is much longer =/
