90 point drop on second SAT...

So now that SAT scores are out for January 2017, I found out I scored much lower. I dropped 90 points from 1360 in October and I’m really disappointed and ashamed in myself for not improving, especially since my parents paid for this.

I took the second SAT because I just wanted to see if I could improve, and I admit I didn’t study for it as hard as I could. How much will this hurt me during application season? I know most schools that require all scores just focus on the highest scores, but still…

Is there anyone out there who has been in the same situation? If you could tell me your personal experience with scoring lower that would help a lot, or at least reassure me haha. Thanks!

most schools look at your highest score from each section, so you should be fine. study for and take it a third time.

I was thinking about taking it a third time as well, but I’d like to focus more on sat subject tests. Do you think I’d be ok with a just a 1360?

^^Look at the average SAT scores for schools you are considering and see where your scores fall.
