93% average grade 12, 70% average in grade 11 for Waterloo Engineering

<p>My grade 11 average was horrible (75%), due to a 60% in Biology, 70% in History, and a 80% in math. The reason for these horrible grade 11 grades was the result of putting my entire dedication on personal projects, ECs, and essentially DECA leadership/ open source on the side.</p>

<p>However, I was able to raise that this year, and now my grades are as follows (at least for term 1):</p>

<p>English: 100%
Computer science: 90%
Physics: 90%
Advanced Functions: 95%
Calc: 92%
Chem: 90%</p>

<p>Assuming I graduate with these grades, what are my chances of getting into:</p>

<p>Waterloo Systems Design Engineering
Waterloo Software Engineering
Waterloo Computer (hardware) Engineering</p>

<p>To summarize, I have excellent ECs, good grade 12 grades (though not perfect), but horrid grade 11 grades. Would a 60% in grade 11 biology (which I dropped in grade 12) raise a red flag? It’s not a prereq for engineering, so I wouldn’t see why it would.</p>
