I have yet been on a swimming team but I am going to join the next season.

I don’t know how old you are, whether you are male or female, but that time would not qualify a 10 yr old girl for junior olympics. A good swimmer would be under a minute in the 100 scm freestyle for a male and close to it for a female.

Join the swim team if you want to swim, but not with the expectation of being recruited. Work hard and see how it goes. Good luck!

I’m sorry, that is not a good time at all. I swam for 5 years before switching to crew (way better). The thing is, a 9 year old can easily get that time.

If you’re a girl, try rowing. Colleges are looking for dedicated girls with some experience in rowing. You have a great chance to get recruited if you’re a girl.

As for guys, rowing is more competitive, but you can still be a recruit. Good luck

is this thread serious?

Well i swam in high school and it depends on what year you are in. If you just started HS, with practice you can cut down your time and have a chance. If you are a senior or junior…no. BUT then again every div.lll school is different. GOOD LUCK.

■■■■■, silly…

um…well you are not going to get recruited unless you are on a team…high school or club.
if you are a girl, you should be under 1:00 for 100 Free (at least…and closer to a 55)
if your a guy, definitely under 55 seconds
