Does Cornell consider 9th grade GPA? If so, I'm doomed...

I believe so. Why wouldn't they? It's part of your academic record.

It does, unlike Princeton or Stanford.

My freshman-year GPA was pathetic and I still got in. If you work(ed) hard throughout the rest of your high school career then you should still have a shot.

Do they look down on how your unweighted GPA falls from freshman to sophomore to junior year because of the difficulty of classes you're taking? I'm concerned because mine went from 4.00 --> 3.9875 --> 3.92 (most likely, with 4 APs and 2 Honors, you really don't have any guarantees).

Here is my unweighted:

Gr. 9: 3.25 (pathetic)
Gr. 10: 4.00
Gr. 11: 4.00

Would they understand that my grade nine teachers are textbook worshippers?

Would they understand that my grade nine teachers are hard-markers?

Would they understand that I am a late-boomer?

My GPA went from a 2.9 (yeah) in my freshman year to a 4.0 in my sophomore year to a 3.8 in my junior year to (so far) about a 3.7 in my senior year.

Overall, I have like a 3.4.

Even if they don't look at 9th grade grades, they still look at class rank. Class rank is affected by 9th grade, so it'll hurt you no matter what. But don't worry, I'm sure if you have something else to make up for it, you still have a chance.
