-I am also very involved with the community. In addition to various service projects with Club Interact,Spanish Honor Society, National Honor Society, and the Tri M music Honor Society, I personally run a toy drive for less fortunate children during the holidays. I do this by going around to local orginizations and people and asking for donations.

Lastly I have played Soccer Since Age 4.

I was a starter on JV Soccer in 8th and 9th Grade

Played for the Division 1 Sachem Golden Eagles

and I played 3 Age groups up on the Division 2 Manorville Vipers.

-So that is basically it. I hope that my passion for music is reiterated througout my application and really serves as a "hook." My essay really conveys my musical interests and really unifies my application. Im just really worried and hoping that this can make up for my ACT Score.

Bump 10 char

Anyone????

class rank, ACT and SAT 2's for an unhooked applicant too low for Brown I think......... but passion for music and great recs and essays..who knows?

wish you luck

Scores are low but passion for music is incredible. Write good essays and you'll have a strong chance.

your passion for music is incredible but I still think Brown is a reach.

Your are good for BC, NYU, and BU.

Brown is iffy, despite the great hook (music), mostly because they focus more on diversity and well-roundedness than most of the top schools. (Note that normally BC is tougher to get into than Brown, but not in your case).

I think you should apply to Stanford. The grades are great, you obviously are extremely skilled in one major thing, music (Stanford looks for this probably a lot more than most schools)--and despite your slightly lower ACT/SATs, you've taken an extremely tough courseload

Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth.

P.S> no, they don't superscore ACTs.

Good luck.

I second the Stanford suggestion

Thanks So much guys.
Will it effect me that i intend on minoring in Music rather than majoring?

BUmp 10 char

But i really appreciate it guys, I always thought NYU and BC were more high match low reach types but now I have suggestions of Stanford lol. Its a little different.

Does anyone else have any imput?

Anyone out there? haha

You're a strong candidate for all schools other than Brown. But Ivy League admissions are impossible to determine, so you have as good of a chance as anyone else. Good luck!

Thanks alot.

Also could someone chance me on these schools?

Tufts
Northeastern
COlumbia
UPenn
Georgetown
George Washington
Duke
Yale

And am I thinking too confidently when I say that the chances of getting into 1 Ivy is possible?
