Okay, I got a 33 in June and I am ecstatic, but now I don't know if it's "good enough" for colleges like Olin, Cornell, MIT, CalTech, WashU, Harvard, blah blah blah. Should I retake? My school is paying for one more my senior year, so I don't know...My mom wants me to take it again. I mean, what are the chances I'll get higher?! I think I was lucky w/ an easier ACT....Anyone think this June one was easier??

if your school is paying for another why not give it a shot?

^^^ Agreed. It's free and you might score higher.

But is it "good enough"? I'm still going to retake, but I feel like my chances of getting a higher score are slim. Also, I need to study for the SAT IIs, so I'm not going to "waste" any more time on ACT prep when I have what I think is a good score...Agh, one more point would've beat my brother!! :P

Is 33 about what you have gotten on practice tests? Do you think you can actually score higher?

I don't think you should take it again, especially if you still have SAT IIs to take. That ACT score puts you in the above the median at all the schools you listed. If you get rejected from one or more of the schools, it won't be because you got a 33 instead of a 35.

A 33 is good enough for any school you might imagine applying to.

Your ACT score is just one of many factors schools look at. I'd suggest not retaking it, a 33's a great score, and use the time you would have spent studying for it, or taking it, on other things that you're interested in.

only take again if you think you can easily go up.

I got a 33 on the June one and I'm not retaking...It's high for me.
