do colleges look at pluses and minuses?

I assume so, they use your GPA mostly I think and the +'s and -'s are factored into that.

If your school uses them, yes indeed they do.

so lets assume a = 4 b = 3 so hmm a- = 3.75? b+ = 3.25?

a- = 3.667
b+ = 3.333

a+ = 4.33333? a+ on ap = 5.3333? -_-

most schools A+ is just a 4.0

It depends on the school... Generally speaking for admissions they don't look at that, however many universities will include that in your transcripts.

Minuses and pluses aren't factored into your GPA, so I guess a school would only be interested in it if they go with actual grades rather than just GPA.

Minuses and pluses are factored into your GPA, at least everywhere I've been.

A+, A=4.0
A- =3.7
B+=3.3
B=3.0
B-=2.7, etc.

huh? i never heard of anything like that its always been...
A=4 B=3 C=2 D=1 F=0
doesnt matter if its + or -

at my high school, A+ is a 4.0. A- is a 4.0. i don't know how colleges do it.

that's exactly how my school does it, and I'm pretty sure it's the most common and what a lot of colleges that calculate your GPA themselves, like the UC schools, use. On most transcripts, letter grades with + and - are shown, but overall GPA is much more important.

colleges and highschool do it the same just like molly was saying
A+/A/A- =4
B+/B/B-=3
....

My school is different than that, (I don't have this memorized just the catalog was right next to me) A+ 4.4, A 4, A- 3.7, B+ 3.4, B 3, B- 2.7, C+ 2.4, C 2, C- 1.7, D+ 1.4, D 1, F 0

Sorry, that's not true
Not all highschools calculate GPA the way yours does
And collegs definitely don't

Besides, top colleges recalculate your GPA so that everyone is on the same scale

My high school doesn't even have pluses or minuses. A 98% ends up looking the same as an 89.6% on a report card: it's an A and counts for 4 (unweighted).

My high schools's system works the same way as hurdlesrock's and molly's. A's are 4.0 no matter if they have a plus or minus.

89.6% is an A at your school, yanners?

omgosh that is s not fair. my school doesn't use the +'s and i definitely made a 89 B last year...omgosh im going to kill them.
