A B in Honors Biology?

I’m a sophomore and I think I am about to receive my first B in Honors Bio this quarter, which is really saddening because I survived the first quarter of Honors Bio and AP Bio with As, and now I am getting a B+ in Honors Bio (probably by like 1 percent) because I was so preoccupied with AP testing I did not study for the only test this quarter (even though I was not aware of this at the time). I have taken no APs freshman year, but took AP Calc AB, Honors Precalc, Honors English, Honors Humanities, AP Euro, and Honors World History, with all As in these. I am asking for extra credit, but there is a big chance I will not get it. How much of an effect does one B have in terms of college prospects? My dream schools are UCB, UCLA, and Northwestern.

One B will not take you out of the running for these schools. Just continue to work hard and at the end of Junior year re-evaluate where you stand.
UCLA/UCB do not include 9th grades into their GPA calculation and you get no extra Honors points for taking any AP classes Freshman year anyways in UC GPA.
