A B, no a C in chem. Am I done

So I've been screwing up my first quarter of chemistry in college.
I apparently bombed a chem test that I thought I had done well on. I'm pretty sure I made a bunch of ridiculous mistakes on the exam. Like I did on my first lab. So both scores are below the average line, but I know I'm not below average. But say I do end up with a C or a B for chem this quarter, have I already significantly reduced my chances for med school in the first three weeks of school? I could do better next time, but I've already lost those points and a bunch of kids now have the edge over me. I'm always told that every point matters for pre-meds because all the competition and crap.

So what now. I'm so frustrated.

You're not "done."

Relax! It's one test!
Study your mistakes and learn from 'em.

I'm sorry, I gotta laugh at the uber-competitiveness in pre-med students...At Cal, we had students pulling fire alarms midway thru Organic Chemistry exams...LOL!

If you continue to struggle, switch to engineering...it's not as competitive and students actually help each other.

Good luck!

It's weird how there are a million of these exact same threads. The funny think is that I think people no better but post just to vent.

lol (10 char)

haha sorry. you're absolutely right. i just needed to vent really :P
