Should I apply for Bachelor of ARts or Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Princeton? I have a strong interest in biology and the medical field, yet I am in a science/engineering program at my school. I've taken classes beyond AP Bio, I've taken honors physics and AP chemistry. I work in a cancer lab at a university and i have done several science fair projects.

Would it be more likely that pursuing engineering at princeton would be a better choice with a better chance of admittance?

Only if you can do something good with the engineering essay that they make you write, based on what I can tell. Getting admitted into either program does not influence your final course of study.

This is going to sound horrible, but if you're a girl apply BSE. The department is always looking to even up the gender ratios. They know that many people switch out of BSE into AB, but they still try to make it 50/50 in the beginning. The Dean of the Engineering school himself bragged to us during oreintation that "this year, we have a 50/50 split with boys and girls!" so obviously it is something they try for.

I know the argument, girls pool is self-selective, yadah yadah. But honestly, being a girl helps.
