"A Better Chance" any btdt?

I wanted to know if anyone had experience with A Better Chance? Can you apply to any school you want? Or do they tell you which schools to apply? I will call and ask but wanted to see if anyone had first had. Knowledge. I'm wondering if they are worth pursuing?

Thx

We just finished the ABC process and my son is a new Scholar in the mid-atlantic region. What ABC does is “refer” you to schools that they feel are the best fit for your child based on a number of factors. On the application you are free to let them know what schools you are interested in - of the eight schools we were preliminarily interested in we were referred to only one of our day schools and one of our boarding - although we were referred to eight schools in total. A Better Chance is not a consortium in the sense that you get to pick where your applications go. I think ABC is a worthwhile process if you are flexible with type (day or boarding) as well as location.

Thanks Paddock. The only thing I’m not flexible in is location. We don’t want our daughter more than 3.5 hrs away…that still gives us access to many boarding schools in New England, New Jersey and Pennsylvania
