<p>I don't think you have an adequate grasp on the admissions process, especially in your assertion that private schools are considered more prestigious than public schools in the US. Yale has a higher proportion of students from public schools than private schools. Furthermore, they tend to look at things in context. It doesn't matter where you go to high school, really (especially since it is one of those things that is mostly out of your control) so long as you took all the opportunities available to you.</p>
