A Better Opportunity on Science

Hello guys, it seems as if everyone already finalized their lists of boarding schools, but I'm still unconfident with some of them. I was looking through boarding schools, and searching for the school with the best science environment. If you will, please do write a post on one top boarding school about its fabulous science program!

I would appreciate it if none of you guys get biased here or start arguing about the "better" school. We all know the list of great schools, so please emphasize your post on the school's best science program.

Please tell us the about the school, and why the school has the best science program compared to the others. Thanks! It would help me a whole lot for finalizing my list of schools.

Here are some schools who will be building new facilities or who have some kind of reseach program.

**Choate **

Also:

Brooks

They have “Green” science building. I am pretty sure it was recently constructed. From what I saw on my tour, it’s really nice!

Exeter / Andover / Hotchkiss

They all offer a wide range of classes in the sciences.

Exeter - http://www.exeter.edu/documents/COI/FINALCOI_2010_11_web.pdf#page=62</a>
Andover - [Phillips Academy - Course Listings](http://www.andover.edu/Academics/CourseCatalog/Pages/default.aspx#SCI)
Hotchkiss - (my computer can’t load their website right now, sorry)

Taft

I don’t know the age of their science building but it looks new. I also liked their building on my tour.

Thanks 2010 hopeful, your post was definitely a lot of help for me.
I also think it pretty much fully answered my question!
Thank you!

I would certainly add Deerfield to this list considering its new science facility and recently rebuilt course schedule that emphasizes research and inquiry-based learning. Additionally, Groton sports perhaps one of the most demanding science programs in terms of rigor. The facilities aren’t beautiful but the teaching is superb (especially in environmental research and physics).
